Here is a taster of some of the walks available in the Döbriach area;
Kneipp Ring on Mirnock - is of medium difficulty and offers views across lake Millstättersee as far as Grossglockner Glacier - why not pause at Renates Einkehr and taste their homemade cakes and yoghurt.
And of course, the Süduferweg is a must; peaceful and relaxing away from the traffic and views across the lake to Millstatt and the Nochberg mountains. With regular ferry points along the way, you are able to decide how far you go!
The 'Matzeldorf Rund' starts by climbing through the Matzeldorf woods directly behind the Haus. Reaching Matzeldorf with its beautiful Church and view across the Millstättersee Alpen plateau. On through alpine pastures and Ambroschhütte to Sappl. Here returning via the woods and Dellach to Starfach. Climb: 500m; Time: 2 hours.
These are graded easy to medium grade.
For the serious walkers;
The Mirnock Circular route at 2,000 metres will take approximately 5-6 hours.
The Gorge Path from Millstatt following the Reigenbach to the Schwaigerhütte – 3-4 hours.
Gentian and Garnet Path starting from the Lammersdorfer Hütte at 1600m, climbs to the Lammersdorfer Alm and beyond to Stana Mandl at 2063m and the peak of the Obermillstätter Almkreuz.
